Admit I voted Milan, was considering his performance last year and no MvDP his year. But then came Mad Mads....I voted Mads
The 2 or 3 jump situation set up by Trek teammates was brilliant and effective.. Let 2 or 3 guys bury themselves on the chase and when those guys on the front flamed out, Trek let someone else go to the front to kill themselves.. Mads was moving very well, looked like he had great cadence, quite upper body and he stayed aero until 15 ft from the line, great effort by team and Pedersen individually. And to get 2 on the podium just punctuation of great day of racing for Trek.. I still am baffled on what Tudor or EF were doing? I didn't see participation money or awards!! Why nobody would race was crazy, they should have been body slamming Trek to get 5-7 riders chasing Mads..instead they just rolled around looking at pretty flowers and spring growth.. Ridiculous ..Pedersen and Trek totally controlling and deserving..Did they know Mads was ahead ? Cause the rest of the peloton acted like he wasn’t…
I definitely voted after he dropped everyone… 😂BTW, I definitely voted for Mads before the race.

Definitely voted for him after the race.
Definitely voted for him just now.Definitely voted for him after the race.
His form is not bad this year.. Has some decent resultsAlexander Kristoff, oldest participant at 37, did finish fourth. He won GW six years ago, but this is his first top 10 in the current decade. I think he can do it again in the 2030s.
He is chasing 100 career wins. He is going to make it.His form is not bad this year.. Has some decent results
Voted for Mads. When's the race?
Why should Jorgenson ride for a bunch to sprint for the win? Kooij was out of the race at that point, he only had Benoot with him, so he needed to escape the sprinters he was with.I don't understand the tactics on display from these teams and riders. After Mads was solo and they had come through the pluggestrasse, the peleton should have just ridden a tempo to maintain the gap around 60-90 seconds and stay together as much as possible until they were through with the Kemmelberg. Instead, you get guys like Jorgenson attacking the hills, blowing up the groups, hurting everyone, and making no meaningful split. By the time the peloton regroups everyone is more fatigued and Mads has a bigger gap. They could have had a large peloton with 35km to go capable of a meaningful chase, but ended up with a small group of tired riders who could just barely hold the gap steady. Truly baffling. Attacking riding is always more exciting to watch than defensive riding, but stupid tactics are worse to watch than smart ones.
They could have been more organized, but this is taking it too fare. There are simply too many agendas in the peloton to expect this kind of corporations.I don't understand the tactics on display from these teams and riders.
