Sadly we all just know that this will mean he'll pull like a truck with Pogacar and MVDP as if his he's the Danish Merckx only to be dropped by a minute like a hot potato on Kwaremont.

Good win tho, bit of a shame that these long range efforts (even if today was partly influenced by bad luck regarding other competitors) are becoming the new normality. Not that great to watch.

At the same time he is stronger in a long race. That said, Trek need to play the numbers game and send Styven, Milan, Vacek and similar riders on the attack while Pedersen marks the favourites and doesn't collaborate with them.

Quick Step was one of the teams actually working, and there are basically nothing they could’ve done better. Merlier was one of the last riders who made it over Kemmelberg in the last group who regained contact. I find no issues with them being happy of scoring the best possible result for them

Impressive solo by Pedersen in a race that was on fire for more than 100 km. It's hard to believe that a rider of his quality still hasn't won a monument, but winning GW three times is a major achievement in itself.
