    Is Robert Gesink soft?

Losing 4 minutes in a long TT makes him a poor candidate for winning a GT. "Purito" Rodriguez also suffers the same lack of TT skills, otherwise they both would be serious GT nº1 contenders. Too skinny maybe.

    Richie Porte

Porte disappeared from Giro dell´Emilia. Only Fuglsang and Chris Sorensen did appear from SBS team. Maybe Porte is already thinking in the next season and is tired after Geelong´s stress. But the australian has a lot to show next year, because a huge pressure could be on him trying to be next...

    Richie Porte

I doubt that Navarro and the other spaniards will come to SBS in case of Contador´s 2 years suspension. They have signed to help Contador. I only see Porte as a leader.... I know he´s a rookie but seems very determined.

    The Contador - Riis Relationship

The contract of 2 years dies out if Contador bears a 2 year suspension. Richie Porte becomes the only leader of SBS and Riis has to look for someone to replace Contador.

    Richie Porte

Contador is suspended so Richie Porte is now the only reliable leader of Saxo Bank. Riis said no to his departure, a team does need more than one leader to contend in three GT, it was a wise decision.

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

I thought this stage was too short for Martin but I was mistaken..... 52,5 Km/h looks like awesome speed.

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

First riders (Martin, Boasson,....) will have wet roads and maybe a lower temperature.

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

Yes, Wiggo's plan backfired. Let´s see what he can do against their rivals today with no weather advantage and giving them a good time reference.

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

Other surprise today could be Vogondy (almost 33 old), french TT champion, leader of Bouygues for this stage, very powerful performance in Dauphiné 2010.

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

Cancellara, Thomas ,Wiggings, and Boom are my bets. Too short this stage for Martin, too long for Kreutziger, too much power required for Contador. Wiggins can be more affected by wet roads.

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

It seems clouds and rain reach Rotterdam at 15:00 GMT, sooner than previously forecasted, so all riders would be affected by the rain, maybe those starting first could even be more affected by wet roads if showers stopped before TT last riders started. Bad luck for Wiggings and Zabriskie!

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

Vandevelde and Wiggins start sooner than the rest of leaders, , also other Sky and Garmin strong TT men (Boasson, Zabriskie...) do the same thing. It seems both teams are aware about the forecast of strong rain tomorrow beginning at 17h and have decided to make these changes.....

Tour de France: Prologue - Rotterdam - 8.9km

Weather forecast tells us it would start raining at 17h, this would be bad for last men, so the road could be drier and safer for first men (Boasson, Martin, Zabriskie, Wiggins...).... do you think this rain will alter results?
