Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

I have just discovered that within his team there is a 'Project2030' plan for the Tour de France. This seems a reasonable goal and I think many readers here think the 2031 prediction is too far away. I must admit 2030 does seem the optimum date, but taking into account mishaps; injuries...

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

Already, it feels as if Seixas is being pushed too much. Tackling the monstrous World Championship road race a few days after turning 19 years-old and then the mighty Il Lombardia a couple of weeks later? Plus, throw in 3rd place at the Euro road race. Pogi turned 21 years-old while tackling his...

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

Interesting. Most posters feel he will win the Tour before 2031, but here we have a shout out for 2033. He will be 24 years-old when the 2031 Tour starts and Pogi and Remco will be past their best, but there will be other young challengers, in fact the race may well be won by somebody that here...

Paul Seixas: Tour de France Winner 2031

It will be a remarkable achievement if he wins the Tour at any age. Any year. He is not beating Pogi anytime soon

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

When I wish Chris Froome a full recovery it is so he can physically engage in life as a father with two children with so many years in front of him, not to see him back on the bike racing at a pro level. I think many of the get well soon messages reflect these wishes.

Agree, this is horrible news. Sadly, his glittering career did not end at the 2025 Vuelta, which would have been fitting. Instead he suffers another very serious crash, sustaining major injuries. Get well soon Chris, we all wish you a complete recovery.

    Mikel Landa Discussion Thread

He hardly ever wins any races for such a hyped rider. Landa has no finishing kick, no surge to the line. He is totally one-paced and has to finish alone, which he rarely does.

    The Matthew Brennan Threat

If you look at the side-on photo finish you will see Milan's body, his head and shoulders are ahead of Brennan, but Brennan has won the stage with an extended bike throw to push the width of a tyre ahead. Exceptional technique from a rider who just keeps winning and winning.

    The Matthew Brennan Threat

This fellah is rapid, big bunch sprint or select group on hilly stage, it does not matter. Today's win means his mini-bio on pro cycling stats is already entirely made up of WINS. Not many riders can boast that and he's only just turned twenty.

Yes, I see where you are coming from. 3rd on a landmark stage at the Tour is something to shout about. You are right in that it will go down as his best result for Israel PT, but I've always been a little dismissive of it. The peloton seemed to be having a day off for some reason and Froome was...

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

This 2025 Tour de Pologne must surely be Chris Froome's best performance in an Israel PT uniform. After five stages he is only 10mins 9secs off the lead. Sylvan Adams must be screaming: "Where has this form been for five years!" Giddy stuff.

Today, Chris Froome moved up a whopping 51 places in the Tour de Pologne. He finished 64th on the day, only 1min57sec behind the winner of hilly Stage Two.

Teams & Riders Chris Froome Discussion Thread.

It looks like, as feared, that fractured collarbone Froome suffered during February's UAE Tour has had the knock-on effect of spoiling his Tour de France participation. Putting it all on the line for Israel Premier Tech in his first stage race of the season has cruelly backfired on Froome's...
