When I wish Chris Froome a full recovery it is so he can physically engage in life as a father with two children with so many years in front of him, not to see him back on the bike racing at a pro level. I think many of the get well soon messages reflect these wishes.

Agree, this is horrible news. Sadly, his glittering career did not end at the 2025 Vuelta, which would have been fitting. Instead he suffers another very serious crash, sustaining major injuries. Get well soon Chris, we all wish you a complete recovery.

Israel Premier Tech have suffered two more abandonments and are down to the bare bones of just four riders instead of seven. Chris Froome remains in the race today on Stage Seven and is bravely holding the team together single-handedly. I dare anyone to say he is not value for money.
