    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

Do you feel that Pogacar gets an easy time from the press?? Has he ever had a journalist like Kimmage face up to him with a direct question like 'Your climbing times are lightyears ahead of men who were convicted dopers, do you see how people might be suspicious?' Like him or not, Armstrong...

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

I predict Pog will finish his career with 10 GTs 6 Tours, 2 Giro, 2 Vuelta 17 monuments 7 Lombardia, 5 Liege, 3 Flanders, 1 MSR, 1 PR This will put him very close to status of GOAT.

You're right.... you just never know. I hope he does win it. I'm tired of Pog breaking everyone's spirits.

Anyone else targeting Liege will be aiming for 2nd. I know Remco is brilliant on such a course. The man has won it twice and in a dominant fashion. But I just don't see him beating Pogi. Unfortunately. Even if Remco gets away from everyone, Pogi will still follow and beat him in the two man...

    Tirreno-Adriatico 2026 March 9-15

Delighted to see Quintana do pretty well. He has been climbing decently this week and finished alongside Carapaz today. Could potentially still win a GT stage from a breakaway if the opportunity comes.

Does anyone feel like this is a pretty tame route?? Remco could definitely have won if he came here.

    Tadej Pogacar and Mauro Giannetti

Just looking back at some performances from 2025 and I can't get the ride of Pogacar at Fleche Wallone. The race was nicely poised with 500m to go. About 8-10 riders were in a small group at the front. Pidcock makes a move with 500m to go. Pogi locks onto his wheel and then with 450m left Pogi...

    Comprehensive Climbers Ranking

It was just something I was always curious about. Whereas Formigal in Spain always produces much more carnage despite the fact its gradients are very tepid on paper. I always felt that Station de Rousses and Col de la Lusette/Mont Aigoual should create a bit more damage as their profiles have...

    Comprehensive Climbers Ranking

I have a query about Mt Etna in the Giro. On paper, it is a tough Category 1 climb. 17km long @6.5% and 1900m in elevation. Yet the gaps on the climb are very minimal. We often see 10+ riders battling out the finish. Is there a reason for this when I often see lesser climbs produce more damage??

Year of Next First-Time TdF Winner?

If Pogacar turns up for the next two years without crashing out, he will win in 2026 ad 2027. I think he may start to drop off from his insane peak and rising stars will be in with a real chance in 2028. It may be the case that we witness a small decline this year but he will still be too much...

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Apologies if the word fanboy hurts you or others. I won't use that word again. I myself am a Remco fan. I follow his races with intrigue and always hope he does well. My initial question relates to the 'reason' (not excuse) of Remco underperforming because of a lack of altitude training and...
