Actually one of these rare cases where someone got the door closed on him, had to adjust, kept his composure and still won. They still should relegate Viviani

Pidcocks meme sprint also deserves to be mentioned. Voigt now wondering if maybe the Peleton pace wasn't as high as he thought because Vingegaard and Almeida still seem fresh. Baby steps, Jens, you're getting there!

Good mentality from Almeida to test if Vingegaard is undercooked. Having said that, if you have good legs and want to go for it it would help if your two best climbing domestiques weren't yoloing somewhere in the breakaway. Don't really understand UAEs mindset, on a climb like that you need...

You're wrong. Jens Voigt thinks it's a savage pace and it can only mean that Vingegaard will attack soon.

UAE winning three stages in a row and Visma Skytraining the Peleton - what a fantastic Vuelta it has been so far.

Yeah also surprised they don't at least have someone in the break. Normally they love throwing riders up the road in these kind of stages. Also no reason to save someone because all the following days will be quite easy. Weird.

Visma would be stupid not to try something here. They normally love setting up satellite riders and the terrain as well as the opposition is perfectly suited here. It doesn't work against Pogacar because he has no problems closing down Vingegaard immediately but we know Almeida refuses to spike...

Looks like different wind for the later teams + really bad pacing by Visma.

Visma the only GC team that is a rider down already I think? Edit: Damn, how could I forget about Groupama, huge blow for my man David to lose his right hand lieutenant Guillaume already.

Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2025, Stage 3: San Maurizio Canavese – Ceres (134.6k)

GC ist done for this Vuelta I feel. Gaudu and Vingegaard seem to be on similar form like 2,5 years ago and we all know the Frenchmen COOKED the fish easily back then in Paris Nice. Now that he's found his form, I don't see a way back for Vingegaard.

Looool GUCCI GAUDU outta nowhere, you love to see it! This is like when he mugged WVA off in that Dauphine stage years ago.

Teams & Riders Tadej Pogačar discussion thread

Him being vocal about a cycling incident that he has no part in is generally a good thing, I prefer riders to be outspoken and have an opinion instead of being bland and boring. Having said that, of all incidents this year, defending DVP and the deviation yesterday is probably the worst hill to...

Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2025, Stage 1: Reggia di Venaria – Novara (186.1k)

One of the most pointless foreign starts I can remember. GTs to go abroad should either be done for attractive route reasons or to give a country/region the chance to host GT stages which otherwise wouldn't be possible (Alabania, Bulgaria, even NL/Utrecht a few years ago). This Italy opening...
