At least there is some semblance of a chase from Kopecky and an unfamiliar American, but not enough to come close to the leaders

no which is disappointing really, we saw how much MvdPs group managed to close, I dont think this front trio are ripping the legs off this race, and yet none of them back there can bridge this gap at all

Franzi with her arm up looking for the team car, PFP instantly ups the pace and Vos continues to police behind her to prevent her getting back to the team car. Shades of Madonna del Ghisallo 2014.

Franzi seems to have got rid of miracle girl, but Marianne looks comfy enough in her wheel, and outsprinting Vos in the velodrome is going to be a real tough ask. If Koch at any moment stops taking the pace, Vos will just let Pauline back. And if she rides on the front for 4km to the line, Vos will easily outsprint her. Hard to see a way to win here for Koch.

They're letting Pauline back on because Koch knows she can't ride Vos to the line, but obviously Pauline will come to the front again, as predictabl as you like. Koch knew that was coming. And we're back to square one.

Not gonna lie, but women's Roubaix can use some more distance.

they can only bump it another 17ish km. they could apply for an exemption to go more, but the whole reason we have this farce for the coverage today is they claim there arent the sponsors for the womens race. so extending it seems increasingly unlikely, and theyll never get the Arenberg untill they can stretch the peloton out.
