Small crash for Gillespie but in an awkward position at the front of the péloton and baulks Wiebes as well.

I'm in a very unusual position here where I'm looking at this front group and thinking "I'd actually like SD Worx to win from this", Blanka's the one rider still there that I still kinda root for.

Edit: forgot Harvey, though I'm starting to lose faith, à la Rossella Ratto.

This could be it. SDW obviously won't pull even if if they could very well have a better shot at winning by closing it down.

Never overestimate the tactical acumen of SD Worx' DSes.

Blanka is building a solid history of coming 4th in high profile situations, and this is a perfect situation for her to keep up that tradition.

They should still ride behind to stay close. Blanka can sit on or just let one Visma rider go. SD got 4 riders behind. Keep the pressure.

Or a puncture for Vas and you’re too far behind suddenly.

Sure, but the SDW way is to not pull for anyone, including their own riders at times.

PFP trying to get everybody to contribute as if she isn't on the team with two in the group and the two best established riders in the group. Franzi and Blanka are obviously unlikely to want to give more than cursory turns. But as a result if Visma don't keep the momentum up then this could come back together. And obviously they appear to be all in for Vos seeing as Pauline's been on the front almost all the time the group has been away.

Seems like there’s no chase. Other teams caught napping as that was not a full on attack.
The problem is that the other teams are not strong enough. Look, for example, at the UAE team. Do you really think with this line up they can bring the break back?

After a hard cobbled sector where the group was splitting everywhere and the only uphill part of the race, it was just the others couldn’t react. Pauline went pretty hard there.

1’15”. This is it for the podium spots.

But some of those teams really need to be more tactically aware. SRAM and Trek really shouldn’t have let them gently ride way.

So the question will someone attack from the break or will we see a sprint between Vos, Koch and Vas? If so who do you favor?
