Late to the bandwagon but hopping aboard

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

Yeah, I actually don't know if I agree. I think it's totally fine for him to continue prioritizing along his current relative strengths, which IMO are: 1) ITT, 2) Hilly classics + championships, 3) Stage races. This is still the most interesting path and potentially most rewarding for him and...

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard thread: Love in Iberia

I think Vingegaard just doesn't believe he can win, which means he isn't properly motivated, which means he isn't properly prepared, which further fuels his lack of belief that he can't win, which also gets in the way of performing at the level he is capable of, which is definitely better than...

    Is Roglic past his prime?

What I'm confused by in this discussion is that Roglic has been part of that raising of standards. He wasn't Egan Bernal who won before and now supposedly puts up the same numbers and doesn't win. He has won GTs in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024. He has won big 7 one-week stage races I believe...

    Is Roglic past his prime?

The most obvious explanations that explain why he was very good last year and in this year’s Catalunya but then has fallen off in performance are crashes, infection, illness, and scheduling. The only people who have gotten better than peak GT Roglic are Pogacar and maybe Vingegaard. No, @noob...

    European Championship 2025: Men’s RR, October 5

Yeah, no doubt. Remco dominated him in that Worlds ITT, but Pogacar won this with a much bigger margin than 31 seconds would indicate. There was a chasm there. Not as big as the gap between Remco and Pogi in that ItT, though, I would agree.

That doesn’t fully capture the dominance though does it?

Teams & Riders The Remco Evenepoel is the next Eddy Merckx thread

If not for Pogacar, we’d be marveling at Remco’s shocking solo victories and dominance in championship racing. Still an incredible rider.

Can you imagine the word counts on this forum if everyone approached their critical posts the same way?

Why is this commentator bending over backwards to convince us she loves Pogacar? "I do not dislike Pogacar in the least," "He's a wonderful human being." Etc. She must really hate Pogacar.

Come on Remco. Visualize AGR. Visualize the ITT cruising past him. Reel him in. Make it a race.

Especially in the U.S. Itd be nice to watch the winning* move live without getting up at 5am. *Potentially, in this case
