Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 4 (Post-Settlement)

Hi Lance (I guess he reads everything) I think you encapsulated it perfectly. The thing was strange. As someone said earlier, that's how she covers her subjects. If she was searching for "The Truth" A question, I would have liked her to ask the riders, the DS and journalist is do you think...

Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 4 (Post-Settlement)

Just finished watching the last two episodes of the Lance documentary. Not really sure what the directory wanted to achieve. You're not getting 'the truth' from Lance. EVER. The story she should have told was the last five minutes of the documentary. The story of Armstrong, Ullrich and...

2020 Tour de France route rumors

The Tour is always looking at how they can present the route in a fresh way. I had a wild idea that would pay direct homage to its past. I was thinking in 2024 they could recreate the same route they raced in 1984 where Laurent Fignon won and Bernard Hinault was second. Everything would be...

New site design: Post all feedback here

Not sure if it belongs here or not but in the "Live cycling" - you post the time, the race action but not always the KMs remaining in the race. It's hard to gauge the race if you how much of racing is left. The previous live section always had KM remaining. Overall really like the improvements...

New site design: Post all feedback here

New forum says that I have been awarded a bunch of trophies. Will they be sent to me or is there someplace I need to go to pick them up? Thanks in advance,

Best and Worst National Champs jerseys

Maybe I'm old school but in recent years teams have absolutely butchered national jerseys for the sake of team branding. I like the jersey that is the traditional flag from the country. My favorite is the Belgium jersey/flag. But the French, Italian & Dutch jersey/flags are equally cool. Simple...

Rate the 2019 Tour de France

Re: Re: Well the '85 tour was remarkable because of all the intrigue it set up for the '86 Tour. LeMond was loyal in '85 and got stabbed in the back. In '86 he was loyal and got stabbed in the face. Maybe I'm bias but for drama, the '86 Tour was the best tour of the past 35 years.

Rate the 2019 Tour de France

Re: Re: I think that's a very astute point I didn't even think of. alaphilippe had already been dropped so the only danger man was kruijswijk. If Bernal is caught, GT counters.

Rate the 2019 Tour de France

Re: Re: The fact the stage was cut short doesn't really allow us to evaluate the move. Looking at the course he attacked toward the summit of the penultimate climb. From 89km to 119km it was down hill. I have said in earlier posts that Bernal was a deserving winner. He was just lacking flair...

Rate the 2019 Tour de France

Re: Re: They all rode well but none of them had a signature moment. Perhaps if the stage had not been canceled and Yates won a third stage. Pinot is still not a contender for the top step.Nibali's ride was gutsy but if Movistar actually rode like a team he wouldn't have stayed away. You're...

Rate the 2019 Tour de France

6/10 The fact that the two key mountain stages were cancelled and shortened makes giving this tour a high rating impossible. Alaphilippe was exceptional but no one else showed any panache.

    Tour de France 2019

Christian Prudhomme says this was he favorite tour. I really believe it was because of how much success the French riders had. Two stage wins and 14 days in yellow for Alaphilippe. Alaphilippe was also named the most aggressive rider even though he never won the award for an individual stage...

    Tour de France 2019

I’m probably in the minority but I thought this tour was rather pedestrian. Never felt there was a signature moment that I could point to that made me say wow what a race. The green jersey was a foregone conclusion. Love Sagan and the way he races but there was no real drama involved with the...

    Le Tour '19 stage 19: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne > Tignes 126km

Re: They can't do that. That would create a mutiny. Keeps Julian in Yellow. :surprised:
