Sram Red 10 Crankset Compatible w/ Shimano Group?

Well, I think the new SRAM groupsets are pretty decent. I guess it takes a while for a reputation to change. Still went with Ultegra 6800, though, when it was time to choose this summer. However, I remember a time when most on continental Europa looked down upon Shimano while they were buying...

Should Clinic posters be allowed on a bike?

I like satire, but the main thing here is "I don't like the message, so let's ridicule the messenger". I know the clinic is a collection of very different people, some more paranoid than others, but valid points are made and important questions are asked in the process.

    HIIT, Yay or Nay?

Hi Red Rick, How have you been doing so far? Do you have any experiences to share? I think this thread will attract a fair amount of views as HIIT is quite popular amongst both the fitness crowd and cyclists that are limited by full-time jobs, family, and other time-consuming obligations. So...

    Ketone drinks

I know people who religiously believe in the positive effects of Ketone supplementation for precisely the use Luigi is doubtful of. Now that doesn't mean anything, there are also people that religiously believe that stuff that's basically water will cure cancer, but it does mean that it's an...

Who deserves the Vélo d'Or the most so far?

The Froome hate on this forum so strong that he'll probably won't even win this poll if he wins every WT race in the season. I like Sagan more than Froome, especially the way he races and the television that delivers us. However, Froome's results are incredible this season. Van Avermaet doesn't...

    General News Thread

Mentioned it in the Paralympic incident thread no one is going to read, but an Iranian rider in the Paralympic road race, Bahman Golbarnezhad, died after a crash early in the race. http://www.bbc.com/sport/disability-sport/37398333

What just happened in that Para ilympics race?

Well, that was one of the incidents, yeah. The other incident is entirely more dramatic. An Iranian rider, Bahman Golbarnezhad, died after a crash in the first part of the race. Apparently, he suffered neck trauma and died in the hospital.

    Rate the 2016 Vuelta

How can I rate something that is not over? We still have one day of epic racing ahead! Might change my whole opinion of the race... (I'd like to see the last-day short-to-mid length ITT return in either the Giro or the Vuelta; a breathtaking ~30 Km fight for the podium, now that's a ceremony...

2016 Vuelta a España, Stage 20: Benidorm → Alto de Aitana

Re: I wouldn't assume so; Froome looked pretty cooked to me, hence the facial expression, and a slow-motion always distorts the look of a movement. I could be sarcastic, but I don't think it is. Froome tried, over and over, and he just wasn't strong enough.

The Women's Road Racing Thread 2016

Re: Here's a better video of the finish by the Dutch National Broadcaster (NOS): [http://nos.nl/artikel/2129881-blaak-houdt-stand-en-wint-ladies-tour.html]Blaak houdt stand en wint Ladies Tour[/url]. I was there at the Cauberg and really enjoyed the experience. There was a nice bit of action...

    Transfers and Rumours 2016 > 2017

Re: Well, those three sources boil down to only one, the Telegraaf one, as the other two just reference that article. However, the Telegraaf is probably right.

    Olympics Doping Thread

Re: Re: No offence take, this is high school maths. I wasn't trying to calculate optimal track length, I just wanted to show that a claim made repeatedly in this thread, that it isn't possible to have straights with different lengths, was false. Physics is not my speciality, I'm a statistician...
