Shoot. Well now we get to see the Schleck Two-Step on Alpe d'huez. Who will be the benefactor who rides away for the win?

I can only guess they have some GC thoughts?

Doesn't make a ton of sense though... 3:20 to Basso might be possible to put Danielson in 8th... but it would take 7:08 to the only other guy ahead on the GC who's back (Voeckler).

I suppose you could secure the team competition and put Hesjedal in the top 15 if things work out well. From a points perspective that matters I guess.
Ag2R area chasing with Europcar, because they need to bring the Garmin duo back. Both those teams are fighting for the team classification.

Garmin seem to like ruining things. Remember when they rode to stop Hicapie getting yellow cos they didnt want the rival american team in the mJ.

On 16 they worked to bring back Contador god knows why.

Today, they want team gc or something.

EVans closed the gap to the lead on the galibier on the steepest parts, and the Alpe starts steep, so if he can stay with them there... he should be fine.

I wonder if Tommy D. has heard of Alpe d'Huez before? :p
Ha! But huge props to the guy. I thought he was finished a year ago and should retire. He's showed more heart this race than in his entire career.

with all these climbs? surely the speed wont be anywhere near that?

That was my thinking too but these are the only speeds avail on the official schedule.

Current avg is 35kmh and oc the the still have the alpe to go.
