I am also glad he was last of the group of 6 riders. :)

I´d have liked him to even win... But sixth is great, his second race after Languedoc-Roussilon 2.2 two weeks ago, and his third in 1 1/2 years.

Sinke against Tiernan-Locke for the Ardennes in 2013!! (Wishful thinking)

The same Duarte who lost an uphill sprint to Basso?
GP Lugano finishes at the bottom of a descent...

A much needed win for Duarte. According to his team's website he attacked with 350 to go - sounds quite similar to the way he won the u-23 worlds.

Duarte wins. Yes!

Coldeportes needed this win. Happy for them.

Hope they get better training program for the beginning of the next year.

the win they didn't need. the team is continuing anyway and they already won some similar races. duarte could use the win though

the training program isn't the problem. the fact they didn't train at all, was the problem. staying in italy from january in the cold winter. corti should learn from this and not come back to europe with his team until march

100 % agree. they can very well train in Colombia with all the benefits included-altitude,comfortable weather, all kinds of terrains, etc & then set up an european camp by march, prior to the Italian races-& if Acquarone permits, also get ready for Il Giro

indeed. in fact europeans should learn from colombians and go there for best possible training facilities. some are doing it like carrara, who goes to colombia to train sometimes. training in boyaca is far superior to doing a trainingcamp on sierra nevada. lol

The main problem with Colombia Coldeportes is the management being terrible. This year, same as last year, they haven't provided the documentation to get the UCI's endorsement. For the second time in a row, UCI has extended the deadline for Colombia Coldeportes to provide them with the documents, so most likely they will get to keep the license, but the management has been irresponsible anyways.

Boyaca is colder and can be pretty grim during the rainy season. Carrara trains in Antioquia, on a different mountain range.

again you are clueless. the reason they didn't do it yet is because they are racing until now. corti is going to colombia next week to get all the bank guarantees. I know you are representative of 472. but stop spreading lies just because you are frustrated your team ammounts to nothing except saldarriaga, who is great trainer.

depends where you are in boyaca. if you go to 4000 metres yes it's too cold. but usually isn't too bad in toher parts. 13 degrees but no wind and no rain isn't too bad

I don't think they've extended the deadline only for Coldeportes. There are always teams that don't get all the documents in for the first deadline, and usually everything is OK for the final deadline.

That said, the management was pretty poor in the first half of the year.
