Costa says that unlike last year where the wind was blowing from the back, this year the last part of the course had a strong headwind making it really really hard to go away.

Also explains why pippo came so strong from behind as he had a lot of shelter from riders while he was getting up to speed.

According to Offredo and Demare the fans were a little mean.

Demare: GP de Plouay: pour commencer les 2 premiers tours de circuit, on a eu des encouragements que je n'ai pas trop l'habitude d'entendre, de spectateurs bretons.. "Fainéant!" "C'était mieux avec le dopage!" "La honte!" "Trop payés"....

Nizzolo was cut off by Marcel Sieberg in the closing moments at Vattenfall and was not pleased: I think he was probably a bit paranoid about it happening again, so he jumped ahead too early.

Exactly. Still pulled off a great sprint coming in second.
