Good field. But I want to see a ITT on the cobbles and hills! (well, when Canc is starting there's not much of a thrill of course :D)

It seems they don't even use De Muur? Any idea why? Seems a bit stupid, passing through Geraardsbergen, and using the wrong side of the hill...

3 times La Redoute, that's cool though.

I think it's because of roadworks.

The "hills' they do in the flemish ardennes are actually pretty pathetic. Most of those hills are not even real hills in de Ronde or E3

So no climbs of Tour of Flanders, like Kwaremont or so on?

Only TenBosse and Bosberg, which will be done twice, but the other "hills" are actually just little bumps in the road. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a bunchsprint of around 70 people that day

I'd call the Congoberg a real hill too.

As for the Muur, it's especially weird they're not riding them, since this week there will be all kinds of events their celebrating 100 years of Ronde van Vlaanderen. There might be roadworks, I didn't go to Geraardsbergen since a while, but all I can find online is possible roadworks on the kapelmuur, so they could still have ridden the Vesten.

I've done the Muur by bike recently but the the roadworks aren't finished yet. Normally they would have done the Muur tomorrow but because it isn't ready yet, they take 'Oude Steenweg' instead (825 m, 17%, average 9,3%).

So the 'Oude Steenweg" is what was formerly known as the 'kloosterstraat'? That could definitely spice things up. Forget about the bunchsprint then

Yeah by far, I thought 'Oude Steenweg' was the big N-road all around the Muur but that's apparently the 'Guilleminlaan'. Typical for Flanders to have like half a dozen different names for the same hill

This would mean they changed the course from what's in the roadmap and the gpx files on their website. But a much better course indeed.

Yeah, it's confusion. In one of the documents they are also mentioning 'Berendries' but on the map it's changed to 'Langendries'. Berendries would be much better.

They also pass by the Molenberg, and ignore it.
