Last km overview with two 90º turns to the finish line as you can see, thx zombo10.

Main contenders to stage win:

-Andre Greipel
- Mark Cavendish
- Christopher Froome
- Marcel Kittel

Contrary to most of the stage, the finish is very difficult. For some reason ASO thought it was a good idea to put in not one but two 90° turns in the last kilometer. The first one comes with about 650 meters to go and the second one with only 450 meters to the line. This means it won’t be a power sprint like last time but it doesn’t undermine the importance of the leadout trains. The peloton will be stretched out significantly in these two left hand corners and you need to be among the first four or five riders into the first corner if you want to win this stage.

The finish here is probably the most difficult of any of the sprint stages so far with two 90 degree bends in the final kilometer. The first comes with around 650m to go and the second just 200m later. This means that it will be tough for teams to get a proper organised sprint train going and it also means that positioning through these bends will be crucial. Whoever comes through that final corner in the ideal position should win this.

Cav, now that he's got his TT win Tony to light it up and keep it hard and stretched out heading into and through the corners. Then the path will be clear for Steegmans and Cav to bring it home. Sagan to place well also.

Haven't you been around long enough to know how a proper race thread tittle should look like?

If you don't want to do it right, simply don't do it.

It was clearly on purpouse so i could irritate some people... seriously.

You mean, without these _ and without THIS?

Fair enough, tho i remember some titles similar to this. Sorry.

This tricky finish strongly favours Mark Cavendish and Peter Sagan, who are more able to win without the perfect leadout, as opposed to the German pair.

Omega Pharma Quickstep messed up last time with Steegmans and Cavendish and they will be eager to take revenge. Also, some idiot sprayed urine on Mark Cavendish in the time trial and if he can convert his rage into power, he will be very difficult to beat. :D

I forgot all about that. He'll sprint on pure rage and take it by 3 bike lengths! :D

Really smart move to go around those two corners for the finish
Its almost as if they want to see crashes

No sh*t. Especially with Cav in the field. The last corner turns right - that means he'll jump to the left of the guy in front and then cut back right and body check him into the ground. Oops , not body check, I meant "touch arms", as Cav would so eloquently put it.

Couple turns before the finish = Greipel is out of the picture. So unless there is another major carnage (which is very much possible) means this will be between Hulk & Cav. Cav will be careful after the last incident so in my books this one will be taken by the Hulk. :D
