There's a bunch of GC riders heading for the Vuelta this year, most of them with solid reasons for performing at their best. Who do you think is going to win?

Rodriguez, Froome and Quintana might be a little stronger but i don't think one will be able to get rid of the other and they will end up spending a lot of time looking at each other, and Jrod will steal time from them here and there.

Poll is clearly not fit forpurpose.

Admins need to either radically edit the options, or close this and open another poll.

Quick review of some betting sites show only riders currently offered at shorter than 40/1 are:
Quintana
Froome
Rodiguez
Valverde
Uran
Horner
Henao
Pozzovivo
Aru
Martin
Betancur.

A good list.

Have to drop two riders (from this 11) as max options is 10 and we always need an 'Other' option.

Martin and Henao ??

Horner wins with 8~ minute over Quintana. He has been training like Nibali in the Criterium Dauphiné but as he's clearly better than the italian he needs atleast three weeks of competition to reach his best level. Horner already knows the best GT of the year is La Vuelta and he always aims it.

I predict he also wins the UCI Ranking this year.

Joaquim won't even top 10 not a good idea to fight for the polka dot at the Tour but i hope he tweet some jokes like he did in the last days about Tony Martin.

Corrected your headline and moved you to the proper sub forum.

You think this isn't going to be about who is preparing the best? Or who is going to get done for doping?

I put it in the Clinic for a reason.

Get me out of this sanitised forum, stat!

And yes, the options are not perfect for a sanitised, no doping allowed discussion, and I did forget Contador decided not to ride, despite Riis not committing to that course just yet, but these guys are extra motivated.

Can we add Quintana to the poll, and change the question to:

who is going to prepare the most professionally and glow the hardest as they go full *** and make a mockery of clean cycling by winning the Vuelta?

I am very interested to see if Horner will release more blood values - would be great to compare a couple of Vuelta years in a row, and also see what his Tour values were like for comparison, and also to see if he was targeted more often due to his ridiculous 2013 Vuelta result.

To reduce to 9 + other, I'd suggest grouping the 2 Skys and the 2 Ag2Rs.

But perhaps better to wait a couple of weeks until selections and intentions are clearer, and return this clinic prejudice whence it came.

I'll read somewhere Contador will not race the Vuelta

Yeah, it seems like I might have heard that also -- may one, or two, or 1000 times.

From the set of choices available, I get the feeling the OP isn't actually interested in the racing itself.

I watch GTs for the scenery - much more interesting than 90% of the race. First hour and last 15 minutes are worth watching, the rest not so much.

I know i shouldn't talk but this poll is terrible.

Evans and talansky have no choice to win this, if contador is in the race which is highly unlikely it's pretty much impossible to win.

Where's quintana and purito?
