Rund um den Henninger Turm was a much better title. However I'm glad the race still exists.

The parcours is the same as last year.

Previous winners:

2014 - Alexander Kristoff
2013 - Simon Spilak
2012 - Moreno Moser
2011 - John Degenkolb
2010 - Fabian Wegmann
2009 - Fabian Wegmann
2008 - Karsten Kroon
2007 - Patrik Sinkewitz
2006 - Stefano Garzelli
2005 - Erik Zabel

Start list

Alexander Kristoff and John Degenkolb are the obvious favourites. With Luca Paolini and Tom Dumoulin they both have good team support. If a late break succeeds, Filippo Pozzato could emerge as the winner.

HR (local TV station) will broadcast the race in its entirety (12:00 - 17:00 CEST). Last year, the live stream wasn't geoblocked.

Cancelled apparently, because the organizers can't guarantee safety. Good decision.

Rund um Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfut cancelled due to terrorist threats, can't ensure public safety. What is the world coming to....

Damn. Pretty terrible news. Heard the details on the radio earlier, was pretty crazy stuff. A shame though, I always loved this race. Given the nature of bike racing and given the heightened awareness of the dangerous potential of a large-scale open event covering a large area (a fallout of the Boston Marathon bombing of course) it's absolutely the sensible thing to do, as the amount of security and policing needed for such a large area of course in the circumstances would be insane, but from a sporting pov the cancellation of Germany's biggest and best one-day race at the point where they're just starting to dip their toes back into the sport (and with a hometown boy having just won two monuments) will hurt.
