The cobbles are probably weak sauce decorative urban cobbles, but since they don't mind throwing money at things, they should hire a few Roubaix advisors and build a proper 1.5-2 km cobbled section somewhere in the circuit.

That would be a lot more manageable than building a hill.

Nah, they are both dreadful, but Copenhagen will beat the deserted desert easily.

I dont like Qatar for political issues, but the race could be interesting, with wind and cobbles. If you see Tour of Qatar there is always cuts and nervious, you must forget climbs as the only interesting thing in cicling, in Roubaix there is no climbs and it is really hard. In Netherland there are some races completely flat, I think that without cobbles, and it hard and there are differences.

But I think that cobbles in Qatar wil be easy, in Richmond there are a lot of easy cobbles, but as well hard ones.

lol I did 95km this morning before heading out to watch the TT and was wishing that sandstorms were a lot MORE rare.

I caught up with a mate today who works with one of the teams and word is that yesterday was one of the toughest flat stages they reckon they've ever done. It will be hotter in October though but still windy, the circuit offers a lot of places to breakaway or force a split in the bunch. So if the last two days at Tour of Qatar are anything to go by then who knows what could happen at the WCs in 2016.
