is what you get just for finishing the TDF. that's laughable. some guy working as a janitor over a 3 week period will make more money than that. no wonder the sport is out of control. the riders are totally dependent on outside sources of income.

The riders get a salary from their team

The prize money for the whole team is pooled together and split as bonus's between the riders, staff etc.

A single rider does not get paid 400e for three weeks work.

Do you actually have any idea at all how cycling works? :confused:

The average salary of a rider on the squad of a Tour de France team (the squad of ~28, not the team of nine) is around 200,000 Euros (according to the UCI)
