didnt like this finish at all

Was this the same run in as past years? I mean before like 2k to go with that climb and downhill? I don't remember it.

This sprint is always weird, but this time it was even more weird. Alpecin came too late, Lotto didn't come at all.

And Magnier, he has the confidence and legs to find his own path right now

i think the circuit was new. with the blocked front of the peloton, it got way too busy in the end, no time to really stretch the peloton

But this seems to be a new strategy of sprinter teams. They all want to keep as much riders as they can, come late etc. but that just results in nog using half your train and it being way too messy for them because everyone is completely fresh. I don't get it.

Today Seixas hast lost 7 seconds

It's unlikely Ayuso will lose this. They were very evenly matched the other day. Seixas should win and Ayuso shouldn't get any bonus seconds. It seems difficult to imagine that he won't be third tomorrow.

Teams like UAE and Ineos could go for the stage win with McNulty and Onley.

Good win by magner, but if he leave the team and take his entourage of yes-men to Bora he could have won by more.

I just watched the Algarve ITT replay.

About 300 meters into the course, after three tight corners, there is a line across the road. Almeida reached it in 36 seconds. Ayuso reached it in 28 seconds. An eight second gap in the first half minute!!

From there to the finish, over the remaining 19.2 kilometres, Almeida lost only 29 seconds.

An old coach used to tell me that a time trial is about riding the course fast, not about producing big power.
