Looking back over the previous decade it’s amazing to se Kristoff podiumed in 7 consecutive editions of the race (It wasn’t held for 2 years in that span). That’s got to be pretty darn usual regardless of a race’s status?
The first example I can think of is Sean Kelly winning Paris-Nice seven years in a row. Merckx also had seven consecutive P-N podiums (not all victories)

To the question in the poll, this exists to give dudes not named Van der Poel or Pogacar the chance to win a 1.WT race.

You also have Richie Porte winning on Willunga Hill 6 years in a row and coming 2nd the year after.

Michael Boogerd has been 2nd or 3rd at the Amstel Gold Race various times. But nowhere near 7 times of course.

I expected to see Bora or UAE or EF even already to make this harder
It's Lotto now but they don't have climbers apart from Adamietz to get the tempo up

UAE realizing this will be a bunch sprint if they don't do anything.

Just 1 guy tho. It's the usual UAE without one clear leader tactics. Bora too honestly.

There were 20 guys left last year at this moment in the race btw.

Finally splitting up. Van Gils couldn't follow the attack btw. Looks like this might be the one day race too much for him

Should be a bigger peloton again in a bit with an organized chase to then split up again on the last climb. If a group of 10ish riders is gone then and works together the peloton won't see them again.

I think the hills in the decent could be decisive now. especially the second ine (Ruppertshain) is really nasty. That will form a strong front group.
