Replay showed he was perfectly positioned but was cut of by an EF guy and simply doens't had the legs. Was good positioning by Adria. The race was too hard for the sprinty guys.

Twelve UCI points. One hell of a bargaining chip. He can basically pick his own races now and if Lefevere wants to keep him, he'll need to break open his personal vault.

Schmid was injured in the pre-season and has struggled to get back. He made his 2024 at Miguel Indurain in late March and should be doing better after a month of racing.
