what happened to rujano? it seems he didn't finish the race?

very happy for felline
he was able to finalize very hard wok from androni ( 6 men in the last 22..)
he was able to stand pressure, since all the team was working for him
felline has still to decide what kind of rider he will become. he is very fast in small groups, he goes well on the hills and in the past ( giro delle valli cuneesi when he was under 23) he was able to win very hard mountain stage.

great performance from carlos betancur, who followed scarponi and pozzovivo in a very strong attack on the boccheta climb. they went up very fast (22min 26 sec, record is 21min 43 from gibo simoni in another era...). all the work was done by scarponi, but carlos was able to hang. he is a great climber.

before the race he stated that if it will rain he will retire,probably being cautious,he has to win il giro
but then hell broke out,he crashed it seems like he has a wound at one of the knees but i'm not sure...i'm also looking forward to more info...anyway very bad day
