Over on another cycling forum someone said their VPN stopped working at 15 km to go.

That, my friends, is why I pay FloBikes the egregious subscription fee, to not miss moments like those last 15 km.

Just because you only have one (male) pro, not including conti-riders, doesn't mean you get any of the Danes!

There was already an attempt at making him Swedish in the Lesser Known Races thread. And then someone tried to make him American as well...

Ah, I see...

Yeah, us Swedes dont got much to for it right now. Even though Ludvigsson has started this season pretty decent for his standard. He was in good form about a month ago and did really well in Omloop tbf. He is mostly a helper though, and a good time trialist.

It was great to see Julia Borgström, twenty years old, in the womens G-W. She was following attacks and around the front of the peloton almost all the time in the last 10km. She has had solid results in most of the races so far. Seems like a rider with great potential! There has not been much success since Emma Johansson retired. Dont think Jenny Rissved will try to race on road anytime soon if ever.

I think we each do what works best for us. I’ve been using a paid VPN service since the very start of the pandemic to watch lots of cycling and skiing, and that hasn’t happened once. My WiFi drops sometimes but that shut down everything went based.

For sure. Sounds like you've found yourself a reliable VPN. Wasn't trying to sound snooty or anything, more trying to empathize with missing those last minutes and how cycling is awesome and it's worth the money to me. We all have our monetary vices and cycling, for good racing like this, is one of mine.

Have to feel for Campenaerts. Benoot of all people took him back twice. If Benoot wanted to win this race, he had to gamble and make MVP and Pidcock do the chasing work instead of him doing it for them.:

MVP and Pogacar look ready. I don't think what happened to Pogacar today will happen to him twice, he's a quick learner.
High hopes for a final Kwaremont and Paterberg battle between WVA, MVP, Asgreen and Pogacar <3

Good point, and I’m grateful just to have it, considering decades ago I used to “follow” the Spring classics by reading about them 6weeks later when Velonews or Winning showed up on newsstands.

First time Pidcock and Benoot came across to Campenaerts, then Van Der Poel closed that move.
Second time Benoot went with Campenaerts and than Pidcock closed it.
Third time it was a winning move, but not for him unfortunatelly...
All in all, he rode a good race, made 3 moves in the finale, and every one of them was dangerous. In the end he got 2nd.
He didn't do much of a chasing, don't know what you watched...

But why would you assume Flo would be more reliable than a good VPN? I've watched races in just about every way you can over the course of many years and I've never had a VPN be the source of failure. A VPN is not tiz or the like.

So Pogacar was out of position when the winning move and put in some huge efforts to try to get across, and still finished top 10 in a race that shouldn't suit him at all. Oh and his team isn't suited to this sort of race either. How do you stop this guy?

I came away with the same impression as yours. Benoot was strong and went for it, he could very well have won.
