Notice how pocagar isn't in the listWhat does winning the Omloop say about one's chances to win a monument in the same year?
Conclusion: Merckx has won a lot of races.
- Two riders have won Omloop and Sanremo in the same year: Merckx and De Vlaeminck.
- Nobody has won Omloop and Ronde in the same year.
- Three riders have won Omloop and Roubaix in the same year: Merckx, Museeuw and Van Avermaet.
- Two riders have won Omloop and Liège in the same year: Merckx (2x) and Vandenbroucke.
- Two riders have won Omloop and Lombardia in the same year: Van Springel and Merckx.
Some of the top cobbled classic guys (now and in the past) skipped the opening weekend, as MVDP is doing this year. Cancellara only rode Omloop/Het Volk twice and KBK twice. But he rode E3 ten times. If some of the most prolific riders skip the opening weekend races, the winners of those races are likely to have a smaller number of classics wins in Ronde/PR than if all the riders rode those two two races.Notice how pocagar isn't in the list
Of course he’s not, the list is looking at the correlation between success in the opening weekend and success in monuments later that same season. Thus a rider has to have participated in Omloop or KBK to be on it. So folks who don’t ride those races—including Pog, Vingegaard, Roglic, Froome, Valverde, Contador, etc aren’t on the list. Nothing peculiar about Pogacar not being on it.Notice how pocagar isn't in the list

Wait, SBS have the rights? Very annoying. As far as I can tell, Dwaars Door, Romandie, Suisse and the new Copenhagen Sprint are the others that don't have coverage down here on either.I find it super annoying that I pay for staylive cycling in Australia and it has no Omloop stream because SBS has the rights but won’t be streaming it either 🤦🏻♀️
I mean I'd like access to all the WT races if possible. How will you ever survive without it.
Which is very much so completely fair and understandable - I just can't not make a joke about someone "missing out" on that farce!I mean I'd like access to all the WT races if possible.
Yea they had the rights the previous years and stay live can’t broadcast it because the rights have been purchased already.Wait, SBS have the rights? Very annoying. SBS have had rights to other races before and lost them so I find it hard to believe that they still have them and don't broadcast tbh.Yea they had the rights the previous years and stay live can’t broadcast it because the rights have been purchased already.
I’m probably the only person who isn’t anti getting HBO max in their country 😂
That’s what the article I read said 🤷🏻♀️SBS have had rights to other races before and lost them so I find it hard to believe that they still have them and don't broadcast tbh.

Van Aert also used it in Algarve. Behrens in Oman as well.On the recon Visma used some pretty ugly Aero helmets. Puh, storm troopers everywhere
This stupid *** will end this sport.
