let's wait for the commissaire's verdict. Canc clearly took a tow from Riis on the finishing straight.

Anyone think that Boonens bike looked badly fitted?

It looked MUCH too short for him fore->aft

That was an impressive ride by Farrar. Next week might be a better race for him than this one.

Armstrong crosses the line in main chasing group. Pretty good.

I think that's an understatement. His form has improved DRAMATICALLY in the span of a week.

Yes, he must have gained 0.0004 of a second there! :D

Great win by Cancellara and great for my favorite team(Saxo Bank). Too bad that Breschel had that terribly bike change... Would be nice to see a dane on the podium :)

We need another Rolf Sørensen...

The Hog is blown out, as, amazingly, Armstrong finishes in the lead group.
Watch out Alberto, the fat man is coming.

Cancellara made it look too easy and a little dull, as a result.

In the edit I made that point. That gastro thing must have really effected him. He also may have been focusing on strength training for this race which is not good for a long climb.

Not to flog a dead horse, but surely the extra balast in Armstrong's mid-section helped on the cobbles.

I don't think it was the gastro-thing at all. His form was not great before it supposedly happened. He just made a big leap forward in form.

I wouldn't dismiss the gasto issue. It can set you back over a week in training.

Yeah, Breschel has had terrible luck so far. Still Saxo Bank has been totally dominating on the Cobbles. Won 3 out of the 4 biggest cobbled races so far, and could perhaps have been 4 for 4 (no pun intended) save for Breschels defect in Gent.
