What was wrong with the system of setting a limit to your hct and otherwise leaving blood doping unchecked? The danger of blood doping is having absurdly thick blood, but it's easy to restrain that with testing. This way the riders can all boost their blood a little, and it will be a ridiculous chore that seemingly needlessly medicalizes the sport, but at least it stops some of the unfairness in the competition, since the testing is easy to bypass.

Maybe I'm being whooshed but isn't that what was in place in the Armstrong era, with the '50' cutoff? Only thing is, someone with natural '37' can dope far more and gain much more than someone of equal cycling brain and ability with natural '49'. Or so says the like of Vaughters and Ashenden.

Undetectable EPO exist since a while, and the main reason of biological passport is to limit their use. Nothing new there (for cycling), especially if OOC tests are done without drinking coffee in hotel.

Does anyone know where those new products are made?

They are not new.

Robertini is investigating events from 5-6 years ago. He is talking about products like ACIR and the Chinese EPO that were new, and undetectable, at the time.

There is now a test for ACIR and Chinese EPO. The judge needs to bring himself up to speed
