Todays banner ads on cycling news included an accident claim company, a second hand car showroom, a dating website, and some cheap burgers...

The quality of advertising is really going downhill..

Are they burgers? Look like Macaroons to me...

anyway, if the ads are localised Dim, perhaps it says more about the socio-economic breakdown of your location than it does about the condition of CyclingNews?

Either that or two companies have combined to try and get you on a binge eating and exercise rollercoaster that benefits them both...

just sayin! :D

unless you have google blocked from cookies and history. Google have no idea what i search for. And ive certainly not searched on dating sites, accident helpline, burgers, or trips to china recently.

Im just waiting for the EPO ad that famously pops up when epo is on a webpage :D

Got to say though, google ads really do make a website look cheap.

perhaps not but what about biscuits or sweets/deserts? They aren't burgers... :D

You are so lucky we don't get any of that out here in Canada - just boring shots of Sram and Colnago adds!

Do you think it's just CN staff trying to get dates with hunky forumites? ;)

i was just getting that, the burger ads, and holidays in bali going in rotation. I think its location based, and in the north east of england all they like is burgers and women. They have been zapped now, was too much for my eyes.

Really does make CN look cheap.

Hey, I didn't say I would explain it - just that you were quoting the wrong irrelevant foodstuff. :)

Anyway, I rarely see anything other than SRAM ads etc

I would suggest accessing the forum through a british proxy to get a taste of what we have to put up with, but then you might have to send yourself an infraction.

how come all the adds I see say something like "meet hot chicks in your area" :D

Because you didn't turn your computer's camera off, and Google watches what you are doing in front of your computer.

I keep getting ads for toilet paper, germ resistant trash can liners, and hand lotion...
