The route really should hold no surprises at this point. What little climbing there is comes on the Waseberg circuit, with the Grotiusweg (the first half of the profile below)…
…leading into the Waseberg itself.
The final time up Waseberg comes with 15.9k to go, usually enough for things to come together for a bunch sprint on the Mönckebergstrasse, but not last year when a crash and Van Aert blew up the race, only for Marco Haller to beat him in a sprint of five riders.
