Best external bb cup tool

Can anyone recommend a decent external bb cup socket tool? I've currently got a ParkTool BBT-19 and its a pretty sloppy fit,which means its damages the cups, even if you protect them with tape.
The Campagnolo one looks like its made from the same casting as the Park one looking at images of it,so I'm wondering what does everyone else use????

What make and model BB do you need to adjust?

It's for fitting Shimano/Campag external bearing cups.

The way the splines sit on the cups are subtly different between Shimano and Campag. I hate to say it, but the Campag tool works best on the Campag, and the Shimano (Park style) works better on everything else.

I use the park tool for the campy cups and not even a scratch on them. Might want to revisit your basic bike mechanic procedures first, assuming the tool you bought wasn't defective.

BBB tool, bikes with Shimano (2 x XT, 1 x Ultegra) and Sram/Truvativ (1 x Red ceramic, 1 x stylo) bottom brackets.

I've marked a couple of these from applying higher than usual torque, even without the tool slipping (cranked down on the Ultegra BB drive side cup because it kept coming loose, and the stylo bb took a bit of force to screw in because the frame threads were chewed from the original BB which had seized). Almost an inevitable consequence when you have a narrow hard steel tool working on a soft alloy cup.

That said, there are noticeable differences in the machining of different bottom brackets. I think a tool like this (especially from a third party) is deliberately built with loose tolerances to ensure it actually fits on all the parts it's likely to encounter in the real world. Campag may be able to run finer tolerances between its own tool and BB as it controls manufacturing of both parts - at the expense of the tool not fitting (or not fitting as well) on another OEM's BB.

I reckon I may have a dodgy one then, as I've seen a few reviews of the Park one and people say how we'll it fits, but in my eyes it's bloody atrocious.
The domed splines just about engage on the edges of the cup's recesses, not seating properly into the groove as it should.
Perhaps I'm applying higher standards than most,as I've seen the way a lot of people seem to have their bikes set up,and it's pretty badly by my standards.
