I can remember Millar in 2012 Tour and Navardauskas today. both for Garmin.

Also Majka first stage this year.

Why was that a bad GT for Armstrong? Unless I am mistaken it was Stage 8 1993 TDF - before Armstrong's cancer and everything that followed. He was the reigning world champ so to win a Tour stage at 21 as a classics rider which was all he was back then was good not bad I thought. Or is there an angle I am missing? Please note I am no fan of him but just curious.

Navardauskas saved a bad GT for Garmin for 2nd time, he did it also in last year's Giro.

^^Libertine is probably referring to the death of Casartelli.
Yep, which was in 1995. The stage Cookster is referring to was in 1993, and Armstrong was the US champion, not yet the world champion.

Nieve 2010. Sure the team had 2 stage wins so it wasn't a bad gt, but they were on a real down after a very likely gt victory got torn from their hands and Nieve's stage win that day was very good.

Menchov on Bola del Mundo, Vuelta '12.

For him personally, but also because of the shock Purito lost the victory in a stupid way.

What about Hyppolite Acouturier winning stages 2 and 3 of the 1903 Tour?

(He was disqualified from the G.C. for not finishing stage 1 yet allowed to stay in the race and contest for stage wins.)
