Best Strava segments

I'm new to Strava and it is lots of fun. What are the Strava courses that the "real" racers use to test themselves / brag to others? If I can find this on Strava - just tell me how, but I see almost too many segments and its hard to find the ones that matter.

I'm looking for the Starva - Alpe d'Huez/s (and that may be one of them).

Ideally a course should have:
-1,000+ rides recorded on Strava
-No traffic controls that would affect times by riders that just might obey them

Also following someone like Laurnes Ten Dam during the TDF gives you a good idea as you watch it then analyze the ride.
