I also expect some good results for Aru, I think we will see a strong ride from him at the Giro especially.

Some guys I'll be expecting and hoping will improve on successful 2013's include Jungels, Elissonde, Barguil, Kwiatkowski, Betancur.

Dombrowski I think will definitely start to show improvements. Maybe show some results in California.

Villella and Ewan will hit the ground running I think.

1st year freshman:
Davide Villella: already get some decent results in Giro dell'Emilia and Coppa Sabatini, Cannondale can give him a lot of chance in some small races
Lawson Craddock: Argos-Shimano develops young guns very well in the past few seasons, Craddock already show some good results in American races.
Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier: develops a little slow in 2013, but FDJ always product some good French rider in the past years.
Lasse Norman Hansen and Damien Howson: two biggest engines in U23 ranks
Sean De bie and Jasper Stuyven: future classic races star?
Adam and Simon Yates: crazy 2013 season in U23, would be interesting to see how they develop in the coming years

sophomore:
Warren Barguil, Rohan Dennis, Lachlan Morton, Bob Jungels, Bryan Coquard

Dombrowski will step up, along with Morton and Dennis. For first year pros, Ewan, Craddock, Howson/ Hansen and Simon Yates.

3rd year pros who step up will be Demare and Bouhanni- I think they can win GT stages. I also hope Kenny E (funniest name for a French person) can continue to ride well too.

correct me if i am wrong but ewan is not going pro with OGE until next year, apprentice at the end of this year only...

I'm specially looking forward to see what Sutterlin does in Movistar. Alson it will be interesting to see whether or not Cannondale can rebuild the climbing team they had a couple of years ago with guys like Mohoric, Villellla, Formolo.

What about Jasha Sütterlin? Very solid results with Thüringer Energie, and a very left-field move to Movistar. I am looking forward to seeing how he will fare!

/edit: Just saw trevim already mentioned him, so I agree with trevim

he's completely uninteretsing. there's hundreds of riders in europe with the same characterics as him. he's good itt, good sprint and reasonable shorter not so steep climbs. and he's no super talent at all

I just noticed Ruben Fernandez is doing really well, he might be someone to watch later this year?
Yes doing well but with Caja Rural will have limited opportunities to show himself on the bigger stage until La Vuelta. Hopefully he will do well then. Plenty of time yet in any case. He's a nice lad so hope everything works out for him.

Tinkoff-Saxo's 21 year old Michael Kolar has been a fixture at stage finishes in Langkawi, currently running second for the points classification with five top 10 finishes so far. He's brand new on the WorldTour circuit but backed by a powerful squad without many other sprinting options, which bodes well for him.

Does Colombia have a complete rider? For all of history it seems they can climb, and punchy, but never a complete package
