Hope the wireless is hack proof. I can imagine some nut changing riders gears into high on a steep climb.

It's worse than that. No hacking needed. The system is already self-hacked.

Having the same action (pushing both paddles) to shift the FD either way is just stupid. What will happen (often, I predict) is that a rider will be in the small ring, but think they are in the big ring, and then of course shift up to the big ring, precisely when they are expecting to shift down the small ring. It will be hilarious, provided you aren't directly behind them at the foot of the climb.

A similar error already happens with conventional shifters of course, but the consequence is just no shift i.e. you go to shift down, but nothing happens because you're already in the small ring. You then just shift at the back instead. The consequence with the "new" system will be a shift in the opposite direction to what you expected. Nasty.

If you always know what ring you're in, you're not riding hard enough.

It's SRAM, it's *electronic*, and it's *WIRELESS*!!!!!!

And even better, they've gone to some yet-another-new-paradigm of how you do your shifting...

*shakes head*

No nightmare for me..I don't gotta use it, work on it, sell it...

and it'll be recalled...probably for the little covers that have to be removed often to charge those 4 batteries.

Righto--both levers for the front der...a new and really stoopid paradigm...

No more shift both ders at the same time...no more wrenches with bike in stand adjusting the fder, while you pedal with your hand.

And remember to push both the same time, as that downhill comes or you will just shift the rear..to a lower gear..as the peloton, with faster shifting, rides away..it'll be slower as the 'brain', decides wether the signal is goin' to the fder or rder...

sram is interesting..they see something and shove it into Taiwanese production...the public buys it, gets screwed and then they 'fix it'

Fders, wet hydros(but even when not recalled their MTB brake really blow dead dogs), hydro calipers(??), WHOGAS??, how about 1 by 11 MTB, with a $450 cogset, unique rear wheel/FH, when the 10t wears out..just get a 10t cog? Nope, not offered...

they are comedy central...I wonder if sometimes the designers are actually in Colorado...with a big doobie, when they think of some of this stuff.

I'd rather walk.....

Now, that was hilarious - DO tell us how you REALLY feel, eh?
