"When we were training for the Beijing Olympics, he was tearing my legs off like no one has ever done before," said McGee, a Tour de France stage winner.

"I actually feel quite privileged to have witnessed the power he was putting down on those boards.

"He's got capability above and beyond anyone I've seen before."

Bobridge's time of 4min 14.427sec was almost two seconds quicker than McGee's national record of 4:16.358 set in 2002.

I dont. I dont think he can beat G, who will ride low 4'13", maybe even break that and go into 4'12". Thomas is a few seconds faster than Bobridge.

Depends on track conditions, but G will go 4'13". I don't think Bobridge will be in the omnium, that is Howard's race.
