Campy Crank difference 9 vs 10 speed

If I install Campy 10 speed chainrings onto a 9 speed Campy crank arm, will I have the proper 10 spacing? ie., is there a different thickness of the crank arms at the chainring attachment points, or is the difference in the chainrings?
Thanks

I think the difference in how the chainrings are spaced came with 11 speed. I know I used 9 Speed chainrings with 10 speed and vice versa. Then again, that was awhile ago, for sure I used 10 speed chainrings with 9 speed drive train. The one difference in 9 to 10 speed is the 10 speed front derailure has a small plastic spacer you can remove if you want to use it on 9 speed (besides the obvious 9 vs 10 cogs, and the rear shifter has an extra click with corresponding spacing for each click). I still use my 9 speed front derailure on my 10 speed bike, shifts like butter still no need for the spacer.

Big ring is a wee bit closer to small ring(NOT thinner) on 10s but just use the 9s rings, it makes no real difference.

The plastic insert was actually present on Record FD in 1999, last year of 9s BUT it was placed there as a precaution to not wear the ends of the permalink pin off..causing a chain failure.

Thanks guys...

Getting a new frame, so looking at moving my Chorus 10s gear train from my TT bike to the new frame, and making TT bike 9s... but would need to interchange the 10s TT chainrings(56/44) to the 9s crank and the 9s chainrings (53/39) to the 10 crank.
I thought the crankarms were thinner at the chainring attachment points on the 10s so the chain wouldn't fall between the inner and outer rings.
Doesn't sound like much of an issue though...
