Hi. Just thought I would post a link where I had my carbon seat post combo made. You can see the combo down the page and you can see my weight weenie bike a bit further down the page. I also own another bike a Guru photon that will be stupid light. I'm in the middle of building it right now.

Ed does some amazing work,,,enjoy

That's some beautiful work! Really, really nice. How comfortable is it? I don't think it would ever really interest me but always good to know.

Love the bike to but who are you? Petacchi?! Look at that drop!

Hi KB. It's really comfy. I seem to be lucky in the bottom area. I have never had an issue with any saddles. My opinion is that less material's moving about between your bum and your saddle the less chance of any rubbing/friction.

I got the seat new from ali express ?20 posted.
Its a bit flatter than the seat you can see on my full bike photo.
Its now been on my bike quite a while and Ed really done a super job.
I am building up my other bike at the minute its a Guru photon frame
" way lighter than the trek frame" and Ed will do a few bits for that bike as well. Some combo stuff, and a downtube braze for the front mech and maybe some other stuff he can show that will be new.

I like my stem slammed. I did have back issues from "back in the day" when I used to be into body building. I find the drop very comfy and it stops your body being all hunched up. If the seat is lower I feel less power through my legs. My Guru has a bit longer head tube and I use a -10 stem the one on the Trek is a minus -17.
I plan a web sight when I have both the bikes built. Cheers

That's very interesting, thanks. If you can say, how much did it cost? I have a friend who is constantly trying to get me to switch from steel to carbon "or at least titanium"... Not going to happen but he might be interested in things like this.

A website would be great. I've absolutely nothing against carbon and lightweight stuff, it just isn't for me, and I really enjoy looking at and reading about these things.

I have back issues from rugby (surprisingly rugby league caused more than union) so my drop is reasonably small. I'd also class myself as a cyclotourist more than anything else, so the comfort on 6+ hour rides helps me. I'm slowly trying to get used to bigger drop for club runs and training though, I can feel benefits from it.

Hi KB. I supplied the seat and post for Ed. The seat cost me ?20 posted and the seat post was about ?60 , both new from Asia. I really am the guinea pig for this combo.
Ed "London carbon" is very skilful and you can see from his sight how much weight he saved.
We will being doing another 1 or 2 and they will be lighter. Also some bar/stem combo's and a few other ideas.

I do enjoy riding a light bike. The only time I wish I was on a heavier bike is if I am descending down a mountain or hill.
My friend who is a pretty decent rider is gradually getting rid of his spacers.
He had a go on my bike and was shocked how much more comfy it was to ride than it looks. Cheers
