Hi hope you can help, i'm looking for a pair of chain guards for my cross bike so i can run a single ring, can any one point me in the right dirrection?

Are you looking just for a guide or something that will protect the chaingring?

I think MRP has some of the best stuff out there. As far as a good single ring guide check the MRP 1.X guide:

I think it would work with a cross bike...but it was designed for for an MTB.
