Nizzolo certainly looks pretty promising. In his first race with the pro's he got a 9th place and now even 5th on the hardest stage.

Wherever Andersen & Co. found him I think they made a a very good deal

The fact that he wears the Brazilian champion's jersey suggests otherwise.

Everyone knows nats don't count.

It is far from his first win, in fact. I thought he was a youngster for some reason but he's been in the sport for years. His last win (not including nats) was Giro della Romagna in 2009.

He looks seriously pleased to win.

As a 'Latin Lover' he should be, thanks for your kind words to this humble hero

Nice win Murilo!!

And finally they came up with a killer design for the brazilian champion jersey (Last year's shirt sucked because of JV tastes! Thanks Cervelo!)

It's a pity that a rider of his caliber lost so much time riding like a horse for Pozzato all those years at Liquigas...such great guy : )

O/T we saw Luis Leon Sanchez in Rabobank colours at the race. What role do people think he'll play for them?

With Menchovs departure they dont really have anyone for the gts. I think hell be their lead man maybe at the Giro but certainly at the Tour.

Gesink will lead the Tour. I anticipate LLS getting the Vuelta, and doing all the early season stage races. He'll go to the Tour as a stagehunter and a domestique; he's finished 11th at the Tour and 10th at the Vuelta, so he's too dangerous for anybody to let get too far up the road, makes a good carrot for people to drag Gesink along.

None of the GTs in 2011 suit Sánchez in the slightest. He needs more TT mileage, and fewer steep climbs, more gradual power climbs. Something like Montagne de la Lure is for him.

Sigh. Maybe i was too direct.

Maybe i should have just said

******* ATTEMPT AT PROVOKING DEKKER TIFOSI AND POSSIBLY TLR ********

Gesink climbs like a little baby. Hes weak and cries to his mama when he loses.

Hes also soft as proven here http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=7069

******** **********

I mean i expect this from some new poster but not from 2 regular and intelligent posters.

Thankfully some here understand me

It's been 5 one-day races for as long as I remember, at least where the UCI is concerned, but in previous years there was still a GC prize for riders who competed all five days. Not sure when that stopped.

There definitely has been a sort of a GC prize (and a leader's jersey I believe) in years past. Perhaps the UCI's refusal to recognize the first race where the teams used radios forced them to not award this prize this year. It's also possible that they just decided not to bother with it this year, but there definitely has been one in years past.
