Chances for Teide in Vuelta 2012

If not 2012, will be in 2013, four stages in Canary Island with 2 climb at Teide. There are 5 diferent ways but it seem this two are almost sure.

And I'll bet it will be as hot as hell as well. Looks awesome though, although how long will it take for the buses/trucks/team cars to get back to the Spanish mainland by ferry?

The article cited Vuelta's director and told that logistic won't be a problem but no details.

they said the adventure on canary will be the last days of the vuelta,so it will be little problems for logistics,they won't need to return on continent.

this will be totally awesome.

Average high temperature there in the summer is 28ºC

In the summer, peninsular Spain is hotter than the Canary islands. The climb to Sierra Nevada this year will be boiling stuff.

Anyway I posted this info yesterday already. :D
