Cheap Wheels for competition/training

Hi!

I will get a new frame in X-mas present this year it is a pinarello Paris I will have Ultegra gruppset on it. Now I need some good value wheels on it. I live in a country where cycling not is a big sport and can't get handbuild wheels since my nearest bike shop is over 250km away and I know more about bikes then him (doesn't sell road bikes).

My body weight is 65 kg. Will race in some competitions with the wheels so I want a stif and ligth wheel before durability but not too bad.

My budget is small under $500 (€400) ±10% must the wheelset cost.

I have looked on this one:
http://www.actionsports.de/gb/Wheel...-Alpha-340-Road-Laufradsatz-1390g::13603.html (german)

English:
Wheelset (front + rear) without quick release
Hub: Fun Works N76 road light
Rims: No Tubes ZTR Alpha
Spokes: DT Swiss Revolution / Competition
Nipples: Alu
Holes: VR: 32 HR: 32
Weight: about 1390 grams
Max 90Kg body weight!

My plan is too buy a better wheelset next year and keep this as training wheel.

Please help me I know very little about wheels. Clincher or tubes doesn't matter at all. Can I use tube in a tubeless rim?

EDIT: Live in europe so stores in EU is prefered since otherwise I must pay 25% tax on the item.

Those wheels should be OK for you to start out on, but if you weighed any more than you do now I would not recommend them to anyone over 68kg. Ultra lightweight rims do not make for great everyday wheels, durability is an issue that you said you're willing to sacrifice, so go ahead and try them out if it fall within your budget. You can use tubes for a tubeless ready rim, that's basically how you fix a flat with a tubeless system, I would advise against setting them up as tubeless though, run them as regular clinchers with a tube.

Will try them if nobody else have any better ideas. Next year I am hope to be able to buy some better ones. How many km do you think they will work? (roads are pretty flat and decent paved) And if I go up to around 1600g how much more will they hold? Ex going with DT Swiss RR 415/460 rim instead.

One more question about hubs is it big diffrence between
Fun Works N76 light road and Shimano Dura Ace 7900?

I can also get DT 240s hubs, DT Swiss RR 415 rim, DT Swiss Revolution 2.0/1.5 Spokes and DT Swiss Pro Lock nipple for €450. If that wheelset is better, But it is mabye little above my budget but could save one more month for them if you think it's worth it.

Thanks RDV4ROUBAIX very nice too have someone with you knowledge in this forum.

You should have no problems given your weight, most people I know at 65kg are not hard on equipment no matter how hard they try.

I don't know anything about Fun Works, Taiwan probably, cheap bearings, most likely made by Joy Industries/Novatec or Formula. Whatever they are, DA7900 would be better.

This is the better wheel set, save up for this one and forget about the Stan's/Fun Works set. If you have a choice in the spokes I would recommend DT Competition 2.0/1.8 on the rear drive side, the rest can be revolution since you're so light and your roads are smooth.
