Or maybe there are as many styles as there are riders. After all, even Cippo had a climbing style of sorts, even if it was mainly retiring before getting to the mountains...

Retiring works wonders, especially when you already won 6 stages on the flat!

Some of the ugliest styles have belonged to pure climbers - Escartín, Mancebo and Soler spring to mind immediately; the former and latter both being nicknamed "The Crab" for their side-shuffling riding style.[/URL].

Please don't talk like this about my childhood hero Escartín was poetry in motion. Not ugly at all. Breathtakingly beautiful.
