Closing the Loop

I noticed this advertisement at the top of the cyclingnews.com website. What was this all about?

What happens when you click on it?

I have script block installed on FireFox, which pretty much blocks out all ads, so I don't even see it.

The message was at the same place the Felt ad is. It was there for several months and it was a count down. It said something like "23days 12hours 30minutes to close the loop" etc. It would count down each day. When you clicked on it it did go to a web site but nothing was there. I briefly saw it today but I clicked about before I realized what it was. The count down is over but I never could figure it out.

I use those ads all the time
