But it wasn't even on the GCN app or as a non broadcast race - Eurosport and Discovery now have heaps of stuff on their app and sites that do not get broadcast on the two TV channels. All the Coupe De France stuff for example - online only.

Are the helicopter sounds on top of the commentary necessary or desired? I’m sure this has been discussed somewhere. If so, what was the consensus?

I think helicopter sounds are an essential part of the race. I find them soothing, in a way, and they take me back to when I watched my first TdF at the age of 6.

Absolutely it sounds weird but it's a pleasantly relaxing sound, and always feels weird when it's missing, its asmr for cycle races :D

The rumours is always it's a canned sfx sound on repeat anyway, they just add it for atmosphere

Note to ES....
sticking The Brehhhk-a-wheyyyy at the start & end of a race, doth not an important race make. (yeah,, im lookin at you UAE T W)
I feel like im being gaslighted to regard wimmenz cycling in as high regard as the menz.
How many top mens stage races are we going to get, that don't get this Very-Important-Peloton treatment?

First time logging in to my Eurosport UK account this year and I'm redirected to sign in via TNT Sports. Is this a WB/Discovery thing?

I don't understand the point of the pre race show, except maybe for TdF or one of the big one day classics, either start later if the race organisers can't be bothered to show the whole race, or just actually show the race instead.

None of them add anything knowledgeable, or insightful to enhance our viewing of the race, they don't spend time around races they don't commentate on, you could argue even the ones they do they don't pay attention to it, or digging out stories from talking to sources in the races, learning who is in form, what goals riders or teams have got. It's like listening to a pub conservation with a bunch of people who are best mates full of clichés.

And they pick riders to watch based largely on looking at last year's results.

still better than the "here's our 6th useless interview of a rider saying the exact same cliches as the last 5" taking up half the screen

we allowed to laugh at Adam Blythe's story today about breaking his arm riding around a pump track in switzerland?
During Jaen broadcast...

How did he tell the story?
If he told it as a funny story, I really don't see why it would be a problem to laugh about it.
