Cycling experience

Hi guys,

I came up with a new concept for cyclists around the world who want a better and authentic cycling experience. Travelling cyclists will be able to stay with local people who love cycling. Local fans can give the traveling cyclists an unforgettable and the most authentic experience.

People interested in either becoming a host fan or guest will have the ability to sign up through a new website. Visiting individuals and families can then search the host fan database to find hosts to be matched to. When registering as a host fan, they will include information on their hosting situation (bedrooms, family hobbies, pets, allergies, access to public transportation etc.). Additionally, each visiting fan will pay a nightly fee to the host fan. The host fan can use that money to offset costs, buy breakfast every day or in any other way desired.

Before cyclists book a homestay they can contact the host through our messaging system to check if they are available for your specific dates. Once they confirm they are available, fans pay a deposit of the total amount when they book online and the balance directly to their host later. It’s free to list and hosts can set their own prices for their spare room(s). We will enable cycling fans to earn an income by simply being a great host and giving visiting cyclists around the world the ultimate experience. What do you think of this new idea? :)

Best regards,

Luke

Does AirBnB allow you to filter by common interest of the hosts? That might be a better place to start. But yes, staying with like-minded souls is a good idea. On a solo cycle tour in Tasmania years ago, a young couple stopped me an offered to accommodate me. Turned out they were also cycle tourists and wanted to return some of the hospitality they had received over the years. We kept in touch for many years afterwards.
