Looking for some advice on cycling with show cocker. How do you bring a dog along, trailers, baskets, or leash attachments? How do you go about training them for rides and what kind of routes work best?

Looking for some advice on cycling with show cocker. How do you bring a dog along, trailers, baskets, or leash attachments? How do you go about training them for rides and what kind of routes work best?

-Trailer for your and your pets safety.
-My dog didn't require training. She would even go sit in the trailer if it was just sitting in the yard, hoping for a ride to somewhere fun like the river.
-Routes with the least traffic and/or bike lanes/paths.

I'd suggest starting with a leash attachment so your cocker can run alongside the bike. For longer rides, a trailer might be better so they can rest if they get tired. Stick to quieter routes or bike paths without heavy traffic, and start with short rides to build up their stamina. Just watch for signs of overexertion, especially in warmer weather.
