Scoring method
It is only possible to score points in roadraces.
All roadraces have been classified according to difficulty, importance and status of that race in its specific timeframe.
Due to the incompleteness of results in the early years of cycling, some kind of anciennity percentage has been applied to the raw scores. As results become more complete every day now, these percentages will decrease and hopefully eventually not be necessary any more.
The scoring scheme will NOT be published and NOT be provided.

put it this way.. the domain name is worth a great deal more than the actual ranking

Without a scoring system it makes it worthless.
The site probably has an IP address somewhere in North Korea by the sounds of it.

Even the most ridiculous rankings still get number one right.

Lol at Rojas though, totally cracked me up. And I don't even need to look at who's 33rd to know it's Cavendish :p

I'll save everyone the trouble of wasting their time looking at this site... in the all-time rankings, Hinault is 9th. And Rebellin 11th. And Zoetemelk 3rd. I think that says enough about it. Yeesh.

Fausto Coppi - 28th. Not as good as Chiappucci apparently.

Cancellara wasn't all that high on CQ ranking in 2010 as well, but that's because he only performs at the spring classics, Tour and WC and doesn't go for the win so much in between. And in the Tour he only targets the time trials usually and is domestique at other stages(you don't earn points for that). Cancellara in 2008 was a beast though, imo even better than in 2010.

Still better than the echoes system where Cunego is ahead of Lance and Contador.

Edit: maybe not

lol, some gems further down. Stuey ahead of Thor, Samu and even Sastre.

Who can get the best find

How about:

69 Linus Gerdemann
70 Rui Alberto Faria da Costa
71 Chris Horner
72 Denis Galimzyanov
73 Pierre Rolland

or

96 Christian Vande Velde
97 Oliver Zaugg
104 Nick Nuyens
105 José Humberto Rujano Guillén

or

118 George Hincapie
119 Marcel Kittel (does Big George get a 300 point Lance croney bonus or something?)

or

206 Michael Mørkov
209 Davide Rebellin

or

218 Alexandre Geniez
219 Adriano Malori
220 Cameron Meyer
221 Johan van Summeren

or

293 Klaas Lodewyck
294 Tom Veelers
295 Maciej Bodnar
296 Carlos Alberto Betancur Gómez

and not to be too depressing, but

486 Wouter Weylandt
488 Andrea Guardini

A guy who was one of the season's true revelations is lower in the rankings than a guy who unfortunately died less than halfway through the season?

Also notable, the low positions of monument winners suggests that these do not pay an especially high number of points in this system.

On the British all-time list, Malcolm Elliott is ahead of Mark Cavendish.

(And Max Sciandri is ahead of Tom Simpson)

Lol, somebody forgot their meds.

The scoring scheme will NOT be published and NOT be provided.
Which is basically another way of saying

This site has NO validity whatsoever and is for MY entertainment only.

Vino ahead of Ullrich....come on!

There's nothing Vino can't buy. Ullrich has glorious palameres. Vino will buy them for the glory of Kazakhstan.

Alexander Vinokourov: 1997 Tour de France winner.

Time to resurrect this topic with more gems from this brilliant ranking.

Guardini behind a dead guy in the 2011 ranking. Alright then. Meanwhile Sky's new young possible superstar, Henao is.....also behind a dead guy. But hey, surely Enrico Battaglin, one of the most impressive trainees in the history of recent cycling and one of the world's top u-23s will b....nope, also behind the dead guy.

But none of that holds a candle to my personal favorite from the all-time ranking: Screw Marco Pantani, Patrick Sercu and Lucho Herrera. None of you are anywhere near as good as Markus Zberg or Michael Rogers.

So... Jens Voigt got 8 points for his TDU (finished 33 on GC and wasn't in top 40 in a single stage). Same as Contador and Chicci got for their San Luis. So I guess that makes a San Luis stage 4 points. Leipheimer has 9 points so by that rationale the GC in San Luis is worth 5 points.

How dare you apply logic to this ranking?

No, that's not right.
Jens Voigt got 8 points because he was 33 in the GC and is 40 years old: 40 - 33 = 7 and then 1 extra point because his last name starts with a consonant.

You forgot to take into account what side cows go to sleep on and the average shoe size of the Radioshack team's riders.
