Hi, first post ever, so bear with me please

Who is covering the tour down under in the UK
and are the Classics being covered by eurosport?
What is itv4 covering?

About to upgrade my virgin tv package but need some solid info before hand, but dont really want to get Sky

Many thanks for any help

Harrybo

Hi,

Tour down under is covered live by Sky Sports. Eurosport have nearly all of the main races live including the classics, stage races and Grand-Tours.

ITV4 will usually show highlights of a few races and have live coverage of the Dauphine, Tour and Tour of Britain.

Hope that helps.

TDU will be live on sky sports in the early hours and a highlights show will be on during the evening.

ITV 4 gets the tour and dauphine live with the highlights of the vuelta, and ES usually show the rest, though you usually have to get omloop, dwars and a couple of others on belgian or such internet feeds.

Sky have also had Romandie the past few years.

I think I am right in saying the only WT event not shown in the UK in 2015 at all was GP Plouay.

They've got the rights for Romandie but last year chose not to broadcast it so UK viewers had to rely on an Internet stream.

Ah right. I was on a 'not suscribing' stint and didn't have Sky at that time. Wonder if they've show it this year on Bike? Saw a mention earlier that they're going to use it for their rights?

Edit: not on Bike, but TDU definitely live on Sky Sports.

Bike Channel is new for Sky UK but last two seasons i watched it on Sky IT and aired some stage races live like Tour of Romandie, Tour de Suisse, Tour of Britain, Vuelta a Burgos and some belgian one day races (Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne, Dwaars door Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem).

This year Tour Down Under will be first live coverage and they already confirmed Gent-Wevelgem, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Dwaars door Vlaanderen, Scheldeprijs, Brabantse Pijl, Tour of Turkey, Tour of Yorkshire, Tour of Romandie, Tour de Suisse, Tour of Poland, Vuelta a Burgos and Tour of Britain.

Might have to find a stream for Omloop this year, very odd that one doesn't get shown. I'd have loved to have been watching that finale

The list of live covered races reporeted on Virgin Media is far better then the one on the channel website
