I like Farrar to win today, coming of 5th in the Ronde he is clearly in good shape.

Didn't know he was there. He's certainly a candidate.

I'm still betting on Greipel with Petacchi my backup choice, though.

need to work on timing!

They do. It's interesting, Garmin did exactly the same thing several times in their first year in the pro peloton.

Sky down to two men up front with 2km to go. Like I said, way too early.

Farrar got himself nicely placed just behind Boonen and McEwen, and Tommeke went from too far out.

Forster 3? Henderson 4?

Yup. Sky did all that work in the run-in, but Henderson was pretty poorly positioned going in to the final KM. If they had waited a km to hit the front and actually got him on the back of the train he would have had a much better shot.

Sky got it wrong for Henderson but he grabs 4. maybe he wasly badly positioned too..

fararr quickest rider there i think so he deserves it, well done to him.

The early lead outs caused problems for more riders as well it seemed. Was it Hushovd that found himself on the front with like 700 meters to go which was way early to start the sprint so when he gave up Boonen started his sprint with perhaps 400 meters to go which was also way to early. Some sprinters simply found themselves too far to the front when all the early lead outs where gone.

Sky went 2 or 3 K to early. Henderson dropped back to pick up Griepel's wheel but was way too far back when the sprint kicked off. He looked quick but Farrar was the best out there today so fair play to him.

What happened to Griepel? Cav wouldn't have screwed that up :)

Looked like Boonen was giving Farrar a lead out;Maybe trading for favors in a later race(like P/R)?

I love Eeckhout.
he said the finish of this race isn't his thing and there were stronger sprinters so he decided to go in a break-away to be able to still make something of the day.
If only 10% of all riders had his attitude....

Nice sprint by Farrar, he knew he had it. Seems like Sky is sucking wind again, and Cav wouldn't have done any better based on the sh!t results he has had so far. Nice win!
